34th FIMA | Jordi Savall & Hespèrion XXI
The Celtic Viola
The eminent Catalan viol player Jordi Savall describes this program as a dialogue between Man and Nature, between the Old and the New World. The repertoire is a mix of traditional Irish and Scottish songs that Savall has grouped into several Suites.
Although Savall and the Hespèrion XXI group have consolidated their worldwide reputation as performers of Baroque music, this is yet another of their highly successful forays into 'ethnic' music, in a perfect balance between tradition and modernity.
